ACQUA AMARA

Performative audiovisual installation, duration: 15 min.

Technique: projection, real-time visual management, sound execution and reproduction.

Acqua Amara is the installation created as the opening for the 50th anniversary ceremony of the event "Fieste dai Croz." The project tells the story of Bueriis, a hilltop village in the heart of Friuli, through evocative visual landscapes and meditative melodies, tribal and ancestral rhythms, with the aim of evoking memories, intimacy, and a connection to the land and its history. A journey that explores the beauty and transformation of the territory, both in the landscape and in the people who inhabit it, revealing the changes that have occurred over time through the magical and fascinating forms of nature.

The projections, mapped onto four vertical walls, deconstructed and distorted naturalistic images and videos, creating a transformative interplay that blurred the boundary between the real and the imaginary. Acqua Amara invites a new and mindful perspective on the present and future of a landscape that has, for centuries, been home to its inhabitants. It serves as a bridge between the past and the future, between memory and vision, celebrating the transformative power of water and earth as the essence of an ever-evolving connection.
